Howdy folks
Gemma here. I’m writing this from the Qantas Club as I embark on yet another flight. I’m in the rather hilarious position of having to take three heaped cupfuls of my own advice this week.
Why? Because this week’s episode is all about curing overwhelm. And, two hours ago, I was curled up on the couch. The kiddies were playing on the floor next to me, and I was putting off the inevitable need to get up, check my bags and hop into a cab. And what was I feeling? Guess. Huge dollops of overwhelm.
I’m not complaining, I promise. We have had the most beautiful women in our Speakeasy workshops (hello to our new Canberra posse!) and I am hugely looking forward to meeting our Sydney Speakeasy group tomorrow. There has been a lot of facilitation, multiple deadlines, a new Inkling team member (more on that awesome news soon), many flights and, just this weekend, a sick 3-year-old girl who clung to me like a teary koala day and night.
So I’m happy, yes. And also tired. And also on the slippery slope to overwhelm.
But, as luck would have it, this week’s episode features the very best advice I have on how to move past overwhelm. I used it in the cab to the airport. I will use it as I board the plane. I will most certainly use it tomorrow morning at Speakeasy.
It’s three minutes worth listening to – especially for those of you feeling tired and even just a little overwhelmed at your schedule or your to-do list.
That’s it for now! Tune in next Monday for another episode of InklingTV. Til then – have a gorgeously calm week.
Much love
Gemma Munro and the Inkling Women team xxx
