Jane has balanced engineering with elite water polo for the last 8 years, and it finally paid off with a bronze medal in London at the 2012 Olympic Games.  Jane now has the time and energy to further her engineering career, excelling in different areas of expertise within the transport sector.

Jane is passionate about sustainable solutions, and in particular sustainable transport outcomes.  Her LinkedIn account wears two hats – her focus on developing engineering expertise, and her passion and involvement with elite sport and especially water polo

Leadership is a team sport, and ultimately a leader’s success can be determined not by their own abilities, but by their capacity to empower the team-members to achieve their own our success.

A leader in every sense of the word, Jane has balanced engineering with an Olympic water polo career, earning a silver medal at the FINA World Cup, gold at the 2011 Canada cup and a bronze at the 2012 London Olympics.

Jane will be speaking at The 5th Annual Women in Engineering Leadership Summit 2016’ in Sydney where she will compare her experience on an elite sports team, to an elite engineering team, and reflect on the importance of building mutually supportive relationships to achieve success.
